Thinking of taking a show to the Edinburgh Fringe? This 2 hour knowledge session with Q&A will arm you with the most important info for how to navigate the whole process - from finding a venue to marketing your show and surviving the physical, mental and emotional demands that 3 weeks of performing non-stop will throw at you. And most importantly - setting your expectations correctly.
This session will be run by Barcelona-based comedian and producer, James Regal, who has taken multiple shows to the Fringe in the past 3 years.
This session is best for stand-up comedians who:
- Have never done the Fringe before
- Would like to take a show to the Fringe either this year or in the future
- Already have a show ready to go, or at least a strong idea for one
It’s not recommended for:
- Performers who aren’t stand-up comedians e.g. theatre, improv, spoken word, burlesque etc.
- People who just want to go for a few days to do spots on other people’s shows
It will start at 13:00 and end at 15:00 and will take place at the Comedy Clubhouse Via Laietana upstairs in the Alcove. It will operate on a ''Pay What You Want'' basis, meaning you pay for the workshop at the end (cash is preferable - so please bring some. Suggested donation is between 5 and 10 euros). participants will be entitled to a 10% discount on all food and drink during the workshop (and for two hours afterwards).
